Mission # 5112 | Jimmy Adams | United States Army Special Forces

Mission#5112 comes to us from James. James is a 20+ year veteran of the US Army spending over 15 years at 5th Special Forces Group. James has a storied career that stems the early days of Iraq and working with the most capable and long lasting SF partnership, the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Force.

MSN#5112 has multiple items that span several “trips” throughout the Middle East. The first product offering from 5112 will be the Lithuanian Desert pattern. This pattern was worn by the advisors to the ICTF forces and specifically this donation was worn from 2006/2007 . During this time, James served as a senior advisor to B.company Troop 1 of the 36th Commandos with his counterpart being an amazing leader SGM Alla Al Jabri aka Roster#7 from the initial ICTF operator course. Hand picked by General Petreaus, the ICTF unit along with  James would take this team and American Advisors to Basra in late 2006 early 2007 to assist in expelling the insurgency that was plaguing the Brits in this area.

The US MIlitary claimed mission complete and end of Major combat operation in May of 2003. The Baathist controlled Iraqi Military went into hiding and many foreign states and mercenaries began flowing into the country and began an insurgency against the occupying US Forces. US Special Forces who played a pivotal role in depleting the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan were called upon to develop a counter insurgency force to root out the terrorists who were destabilizing the country and making it difficult to transition power to a viable government. The ICTF began training with the ODA’s of 5th Special Forces Group and would become the most effective and capable fighting force in Iraq and the longest lasting partner force for Special Forces. James was a trainer and  advisor to ICTF on many rotations and attributes his best times in the Army to his time spent working with these forces.
